What is that unblinking,still cat on the sofa thinking? The short story "Coo-Kee-Cat" creatively answers the question. The story is well written,and surprisingly spiritual and philosophical.Makes one wonder.
This was a fun read. Brown well captured how I would imagine a cat to think were I able to penetrate the inscrutable feline mind. My only complaint is that it became too preachy in the end about the after life and the meaning of life. I don't disagree with the points made, just not sure Blue would be that concerned about preaching to us.

It is very lovely short story. Made me smile and loved the book.
A.J. Brown's Coo-Kee-Cat was a pleasant surprise. Through very creative writing, the characters were brought to life quickly. Descriptive and thought-provoking. I could see this story expanded for the big screen.
Coo Kee Cat is an extremely well written, entertaining and thought provoking novella. I can't wait to recommend it to my book club. It will inspire an intelligent and interesting discussion. Loved it from beginning to end.
